Each of these describes a service that one might expect a Concierge to provide to guests of a top class hotel. But to isolate one from the rest would be a mistake. A Concierge is an individual who embraces any requirements his or her guests have, whatever it takes. "I'm proud to say that I have a 'Never say NO attitude,', last year I was awarded with my Golden Keys, in recognition of me becoming a member of the Le Clefs d'Or society. This is a prestigious membership organization that was started in Paris in 1929( see story below). The society which I am a member of has over 4000 members from 35 countries." I am the sole flame for Golden Keys UK and Commonwealth in South Africa. I have been a Concierge since 1995 but only since the year 2000, after spending 3 and a half years at the Mount Nelson hotel in Cape Town, I truly discovered what Concierge is all about. It's an art. I applied to the Golden Keys and was accepted after a trial of questions and being proposed in front of the Golden Keys Board by Ron Crowdy who is the President of The Golden Keys Society of Commonwealth and UK.
After being accepted I wanted to start an association whereby I can equip Concierges in SA to deliver a better service to our guests. This website is the embrio of my dream and goal to one day have a Concierge desk in every hotel operated by an Africanect Concierge.
